Ferries to Dunkerque: Holidays in term time can be beneficial
08.04.2010
People taking ferries to Dunkerque should be able to take their whole brood on a family holiday during term time, according to one expert, who said it can be beneficial.John McDonald, director of the Family Holiday Association, said that it is understandable that parents want to be able to give their children a holiday and provide them with all the benefits that one can deliver for a family.
"Many children can be given authorised absence from school for a week and many headteachers understand the benefits that that can bring for the child, the family and the school in general," he said.
The expert added that countries like France offer families the chance to go on holidays and leisure excursions.
In other news, the writer recently reported on the trend for French restaurants in particular to reduce their prices, in a bid to encourage more people to try out their establishments and buy their produce.
