Ferries to France: BA strikes uncertainty continues
24.02.2010
The British Airways (BA) cabin crew strike saga is dragging on with union bosses refusing to reveal the exact dates when staff will take action.People may be tempted to travel to France by ferry in order to avoid the travel disturbances, which experts like Bob Atkinson have said are frustrating for vacationers planning trips.
"If you were cynical, you"d say that the union is playing with customers" travel plans. Every day that this goes on, there is less availability on alternative flights and prices will go up," he stated.
The travel expert added that at the moment customers are being messed about, and this situation could entice more people to use a ferry to france.
People travelling to France via Eurostar were left stranded for hours recently after the service they were on suffered a power failure and took eight hours to get from London to Paris.
