Belgian beer festivals revealed
09.12.2008
Lovers of a tipple may wish to book their ferry to Flanders early in anticipation of a major festival next summer.Antwerp"s Beer Passion event takes place throughout June and offers those with an enthusiasm for all things ale the chance to spend three-days soaking in the sights, smells and - of course - tastes of the industry.
More than 150 beers will be able to be sampled throughout the show, which is free to enter.
Brits wanting to treat their tastebuds to something more than the usual half a pint of mild can savour the delights of the finest brews from France, Germany, Belgium and many more nations around the continent.
If that does not quench the thirst of even the most hardened enthusiasts, a ferry to Antwerp in August could see them re-acquaint themselves with Belgium"s finest at the Taste Festival, which offers visitors the chance to sample food and drink from 25 renowned restaurants.
