Cross channel ferries: Spontaneity is vital for great trips

Vacationers travelling on cross channel ferries should not plan out their days too carefully, according to one presenter, who said that her best experiences have been when she did things as and when she pleased.The BBC"s Kate Silverton gave her holiday advice to the Daily Telegraph and said that she had a brilliant time touring around countries and doing things on impulse, which could inspire people taking cross channel ferries.
"Plan it yourself. It is so rewarding and liberating not to be tied to a timetable set by someone else. If you plan, plan it well but don"t be afraid of some spontaneity," she said.
The newsreader added that having a good sense of humour can help to ensure a great holiday experience.
