Cross channel ferry: Flanders has Great War museum

People taking cross channel ferries could continue into Flanders, where one newspaper reports there is a great museum which is one of the best in Europe.The World War One Museum in Ypres is very impressive, according to the Times which said that visitors can get a unique insight into the life of a soldier in the Great War.
"Youll be handed a unique ID card. Your high-tech ticket contains the identity of one of 350 soldiers or civilians whose stories have been recorded by the curators," stated the report.
As the visitors pass through the museum the fate of their designated person unfolds and the newspaper said it is an effective way to communicate the terrors of war.
Tourism Flanders recently stated that holidaymakers can enjoy a selection of activities in the region, including the Snow and Ice Sculpture festival in Bruges, which runs during November, and the huge ice rink in nearby Brussels.
