Flanders is 'the place to be'

Fashion-conscious Brits can satisfy all their style needs with a ferry trip to Belgium.

The Guardian has given Flanders the thumbs up when it comes to being a front-runner in urban chic.

David Sdika, co-designer for Brussels-based label Chauncey, tells the newspaper that the area is the "place to be" when it comes to men"s fashion.

He says that fashionistas will find plenty to keep them happy in the Belgian region, with the streets lined with top brands and names.

The expert tells the Guardian that Brits can update their wardrobe while on holiday with trips to outlets such as Jil Sander and Louis Vuitton, with the latter rammed full of the top work of the country"s best designers.

However, those who see clothes as just something to keep them warm and protected from the typical British weather need not worry, as Belgium has a whole heap more to offer than just fashion and style.

Mr Sdika adds that one of his favourite pastimes is taking a trip to the Cinema Arenberg in the Queen Gallery, which he says has a fantastic atmosphere and shows movies in English.

While in Belgium, Brits may also want to visit major attractions such as Antwerp Zoo and the Brewery Museum.ADNFCR-1871-ID-19172437-ADNFCR
