People taking their family on a ferry to Dunkerque are close to a region that is ideal for the whole brood and has activities which will keep children and adults of all ages entertained, according to one newspaper. The Daily Mirror"s Nigel Thompson took his family to Saint-Nazaire, which is near to Vendee, and said he had a great time.
"There"s a good beach, a small chateau, an upper town with some pleasant shops to wander around and a lower, touristy area by the bustling port and marina crammed with decent bars and restaurants," he told the newspaper.
Mr Thompson added that France is the kind of place which is difficult to dislike and he said Reve de Glace has some of the finest ice cream parlours anywhere in the world.
TipsFromThetList.com recently reported on the fun that can be had in Brittany and said that, regardless of the season, the destination is an excellent place to unwind and relax in.
