01.04.2010
People taking ferries to france could take a trip to the south of the country to partake in some relaxing activities, according to one newspaper, which sang the praises of the destination. The Daily Telegraph"s Anthony Peregrine reported on the warm weather and easygoing lifestyle that can be enjoyed in France and said that Digne-les-Bains is his favourite spot in the country.
"There are three sure signs of spring in my French village. One is the almond blossom. The second is the ending of karaoke evenings in the village restaurant. And the third is the old boy down the lane dusting off his bike after hibernation," he said.
Mr Peregrine added that he is looking forward to relaxing in the area and enjoying a cold beer.
In other news, the writer recently reported on the trend for French restaurants in particular to reduce their prices, in a bid to encourage more people to try out their establishments and buy their produce.
