Ferries to France: The south of France is ideal for activity holidays

01.04.2010
People taking ferries to France could visit the southern part of the country to participate in some leisure activities, according to one newspaper, whilst reviewing for the destination.

The Daily Telegraph’s Anthony Peregrine reported on the warm weather and relaxing lifestyle that can be enjoyed in France and said that Digne-les-Bains is his favourite spot in the country.

"There are three sure signs of spring in my French village. One is the almond blossom. The second is the ending of karaoke evenings in the village restaurant. And the third is the old boy down the lane dusting off his bike after hibernation," he said.

Mr. Peregrine added that he is looking forward to relax in the area whilst enjoying a cold beer.

In other news, the writer recently reported on the trend amongst French restaurants in giving discounts on their prices, in order to encourage more people to try out their establishments and taste their offerings.
