Rugby star Will Greenwood said he enjoyed a recent trip to a French ski resort, although found it daunting when he hit the black runs.People getting ferries to france can follow in the sporting superstar"s footsteps, as he headed to the Alps to try a beginner ski week.
He told the Daily Mail that he loved the challenge of the sport, adding that it is what he has been looking for since he retired from rugby.
However, like many people who head to the slopes for the first time, Greenwood admitted that his enthusiasm got him into trouble, adding: "The instructor got cross - he told me I had too much speed and no control."
The skier also recommended La Plagne to holidaymakers and those getting ferries to France, saying that the resort is well organised for families.
"There are a few tears when you first leave the children, but they soon settle down and have a whale of a time, Greenwood"s wife Caro told the newspaper.
It is not too late for people to get ferries to France to go skiing, as Vanessa Fisher, spokesperson for the Ski Club of Great Britain, said that Easter will bring some good snow conditions.
