04.03.2010
People getting ferries to france can head to the Riviera to have a luxury holiday, according to an expert.Florence Lecointre, international press officer for the French Riviera Tourist Board, said there is a range of luxury activities to choose from, including helicopter tours and luxurious cars.
She also advised the city of Nice for people wanting to get ferries to France for the weekend.
"You can spend one day in Nice to visit the museums and walk through the markets then the day after you can go by train or bus to go to Cannes or to the mountains or to Monaco and the bus costs only 1 [£0.91] per way," Ms Lecointre added.
She stated that Nice, Monaco and Cannes are the main luxury areas for people getting ferries to France, saying that the latter is ideal for fashionistas.
Ms Lecointre"s comments follow research from holiday firm Hayes & Jarvis, which showed that people are more willing to bargain on luxury travel deals this year than they used to be.
