Guitars and breakdancers in France
23.12.2008
Music lovers may wish to consider a ferry trip to France in the New Year to catch a laid-back annual event. In March, Troyes will host the World Guitar Festival or Festival Guitares du Monde et Voix des Femmes as it is known locally which showcases some of the hottest female songwriting talent.
Singers and strummers from around the globe will head to the French city for the musical feast, with tickets starting as cheaply as four euros (£3.77) and going up to the still incredibly affordable price of 16 euros.
However, if you are after something a little less relaxing, the Cap Danse Hip Hop Festival will be held in Toulouse"s Halle aux Grains through February and March, with performances taking place at a range of venues across the region.
Meanwhile, those attending this showcase may wish to stick around and make their way to the Hip Hop Ways breakdancing event which also runs in February and March.
