Brits planning on taking their car with them on a ferry crossing to france have been reminded of the importance of breakdown cover. These policies are an important part of travelling overseas, according to independent.ie.
The source commented that there are many reasons why those heading abroad with their car may run into trouble.
It said: "Breakdown cover is desirable for several reasons, with the most common being flat batteries, puncture repairs and engine trouble, with most breakdowns being resolved at the roadside."
Brits taking out a policy in the UK can find insurance which covers them for trips to France, Belgium and Holland, with the cost of alternative travel arrangements covered by some insurers should your car break down, the news provider goes on to say.
Those heading on a cross-Channel ferry to france with their car this summer will be able to easily get around the country and visit events such as the Coca Cola Sport Sessions, which take place at the Stade de France between July 27th and August 2nd, and the Fest Arts, which is held in Libourne from August 6th until the 8th.
