22.03.2010
Those taking cross Channel ferries and continuing their journey into Germany can visit a city which has an impressive array of hotels to choose from, according to one newspaper. The Daily Telegraph recommended the Brandenburger Hof hotel in Berlin and said that its contemporary sculptures, green carpets and English mustard-coloured walls give its entrance an impressive aesthetic.
"[It has] a series of communal rooms, from elegant breakfast rooms decorated with lovely wallpaper to a small sitting room full of armchairs and books, [which] lead off a central lounge and Japanese courtyard," it stated.
The newspaper added that guests could try out the nearby Die Quadriga restaurant, which has had Michelin stars in the past and boasts a wine list comprised of 850 different drops.
In other news, the Times recently reported that Berlin is one of the most romantic locations in the world and has great attractions to keep couples entertained.
