Ferries to Dunkerque: Close to great city
17.02.2010
People thinking about taking ferries to Dunkerque are close to a city which is perfect for culturally astute holidaymakers and can keep visitors happy entertained for ages, according to one expert. The Daily Telegraph"s Francis Pike told readers that Berlin is ideal for a two-day city break and has plenty of places to eat and drink, as well as galleries to peruse.
"In the summer, it is difficult to beat a schnitzel and salad on the terrace of Die Fischerhütte or beer and bratwurst at the more informal beer garden overlooking the lake and forests at Schlachtensee - take your swimming costumes," he said.
The writer added that vacationers could consider visiting the Grill Royal, which is adjacent to the River Spree and Museum Island, for dinner.
In other news, the Guardian reported on the cycle path that runs alongside the remaining parts of the Berlin Wall and said it now provides a great place for bike enthusiasts to explore.
