Ferries to France could lead to one-off film festival

People wanting to experience a unique film festival when visiting Ghent could take part in the Ciné Privé event which sees local people from the region screening movies in their home.Seafarers taking ferries to france may want to travel into Ghent and attend the event, which takes place in February at a variety of dwellings around the area and often sees the directors of the films visiting.
What"s On When stated: "A bold venture in these days of individualism and personal security hysteria, Ciné Privé features film screenings right in the homes of Ghent inhabitants."
It added that the films are mainly Belgian and each evening has a particular flavour and feel to it.
In related news, Kevin Costner will be given the Joseph Plateau Honorary Award for Career Achievement at the upcoming 36th Ghent International Film Festival and other awardees include Juliette Binoche, Vanessa Redgrave and Robert Altman.
