People going to a Christmas market in Europe this year will find that the ones in Belgium are good and ideal for a short trip, a source has claimed.Advice website TravelBite.co.uk said that the Bruges, Brussels and Ghent markets offer a good weekend break with lots to do.
In particular, Bruges has a large snow and ice sculpture festival this year, sure to please every member of the families who take cross channel ferries.
Inside the market itself are a wide variety of stalls, from handicrafts and gifts to food and drink.
The website added that the atmosphere in the area is very festive and sure to put anyone in the Christmas mood.
"Activities such as ice rinks, amusements, firework displays, concerts and special winter festivals will also guarantee Christmas fun for all ages," it said.
Those who want to get more Christmas shopping in before the big day can also take advantage of other stores opening all day on Sunday while the market is on, from November 20th to January 3rd.
