Ferries to Dunkerque: Bordeaux is an exciting city break location

Those taking ferries to Dunkerque should consider travelling on to Bordeaux, according to one newspaper, which said that the city is a great place to visit at any time of year.The Independent reported that the French city has brilliant cultural attractions, such as the current production of West Side Story, which is showing at the city"s Opera House throughout April.
"At any time of year, there is a magical quality to this city of elegant limestone buildings, wrought-iron balconies and wonderful mascarons carved stone faces above windows and doors. But, bathed in spring sunshine, the capital of Aquitaine is currently looking its very best," it reported.
The newspaper added that the city was made an Unesco world heritage status in 2007 and stated that there are plans for a major wine museum in Bordeaux as well.
Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan recent told the Daily Telegraph that he loves going to Paris and staying in hotels such as The Ritz, which he places alongside The Barclay in London in the list of his favourite establishments.
