People taking ferries to france are close to a destination which has a great amount of history to discover, as well as brilliant cultural offerings.The Times stated that Dresden has attractions like the Stadtmuseum on the Wilsdruffer Strasse, which contains artefacts from World War II.
"With extraordinary art collections, remarkable architecture, a mighty musical tradition - and two fine orchestras to perpetuate it - Dresden has to be one of the most rewarding short-break destinations in Europe," it stated.
The newspaper added that although the city suffered terribly in the 20th century, it is now having somewhat of a renaissance at the start of the 21st, with lots of restoration work taking place.
In other news, the Times" Alice Thomson reported on the great time she had with her partner when they visited Munich, but admitted her beau was not so sure about the delights the German city had to offer.
