04.03.2009
Brits with a passion for beer will want to travel to Holland this year to sample some of the finest drinks the country has to offer.Renowned for its alcoholic beverages, the nation has a wealth of breweries which holidaymakers can visit to learn more about their favourite tipple.
One such establishment is the Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam, which tourists can enter for 15 euros (£13.30).
For this price attendees will be treated to a history of the world-famous beer, encompassing its origins right up to how it is made today, with demonstrations available.
If that is not enough, two drinks are also included in the entry price, while there is a bar for those who need more than this to quench their thirst.
Those opting for a ferry trip to Belgium this year need not miss out on the education, as the Brewery Museum in Brussels is also open for members of the public who want to learn all about how the drink they love is made.
