Romantic music to sweep through Rotterdam

Holidaymakers heading on last-minute ferry trips to Holland will find plenty to keep them occupied this month.

On August 9th, Rotterdam opens its arms for loved-up couples to enjoy the Day of Romantic Music.

Here, Brits will be able to hear the soothing sounds of classical performances, with orchestras putting on entertainment around the city for visitors.

More than 45 concerts will be put on in Rotterdam for this event, providing the perfect sounds for loved-up holidaymakers to relax to.

A little later in the month, between August 20th and 30th, film fans who have taken the ferry to Rotterdam will be kept entertained as movies are screened in the Cinema in the Square festival.

Cult classics and summer blockbusters are among those set to be shown in this fantastic setting, which will make for a great night out for those travelling to Holland this summer.

As August draws to a close there is still plenty for visitors to see and do, with Heerlijk Rotterdam held between the 22nd and 24th, during which some of the city"s top eateries offer top quality food and low prices.
