Orleans Christmas market 'takes city over'

The Christmas market in the French town of Orleans dominates the city"s central square each December, according to a France tourist guide.French Connections revealed that the market boasts 62 chalets filled with homemade produce and crafts from the local area, including festive decorations, toys for younger family members and a wide range of food.
Another Christmas treat is in store for the entire family too, the information provider added.
It said: "A few feet from the market you will find a 465 square meter ice rink which will be divided into two sections, one area for beginners and the other for experts!"
French Connections added that Orleans provided a great base of operations to discover the surrounding area, where vineyards litter the countryside to produce some of the best white wine in the region.
Planetware noted the beauty of the cathedral at Orleans, stating that the sheer size of the church"s interior leaves a lasting impression on those who visit it.
