Paris invites pedestrians to peruse Christmas markets

28.10.2008
The Paris Christmas markets are set to offer visitors, who may be travelling by Ferrycap down to France, a range of goods and experiences this year.

Various markets are held in the capital during the festive season, many featuring decorated wooden chalets for stalls.

Here people will find an array of products, from arts and crafts to regional produce for cooking up some tasty treats.

"Set aside a few hours for a little escapade and you are sure to find some unusual gift ideas and products to concoct delicious feasts," the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau suggests.

People travelling to France by ferry out of the holiday season can still enjoy many markets in Paris.

Stalls selling flowers, books, stamps and antiques can regularly be found in the city, everywhere from the Palais de Justice to the Place de la Concorde.

Antique hunters may also want to visit the flea markets at the Porte de Montreuil, Porte de Clignancourt/Saint-Ouen or Porte de Vanves.ADNFCR-1871-ID-18847446-ADNFCR
